Javdekar hopeful of BJP becoming prime opponent in Bengal
Speaking to NDTV, Javdekar said that the Left has lost a major percentage of their seats and the BJP is ready to cash in.
"We are definitely confident of becoming the main challenger in West Bengal in the next assembly polls," he said.
Justifying their Kerala debacle, Javdekar said that their members did not tend to their respective constituencies for five years.
"If you look after your constituency for five years, listen to the problems, you will win," Javdekar added.
The minister also added that they are happy to win in Assam.
"At the start of the polls, we had no state, the Congress had two. We have one now, and an important one in Assam, while the Congress have lost out on both," he said.
The Environment Minister said that their aim is to build slow and take one at a time.
