Jaswant Singh's son Manvendra joins Congress; Rahul Gandhi welcomes
New Delhi, Oct 17 (IBNS): Former Union Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s founding member Jaswant Singh's son Manvendra joined the Congress party on Wednesday.
Manvendra, a former BJP leader, is a member of the Legislative Assembly of Rajasthan.
Congress president Rahul Gandhi has welcomed Manvendra to his political outfit.

Manvendra had won the Lok Sabha election in 2004 as a BJP candidate.
The former saffron leader's induction to the Congress has assumed significance since Rajasthan is heading towards state polls.
The assembly polls in Rajasthan will be held on Dec 7. The counting of votes will take place on 11th of the same month.
The Congress, led by its state chief Sachin Pilot, is trying to defeat the ruling BJP in Rajasthan, ahead of the next Lok Sabha elections, which will be held in few months' time.
A recent poll survey has predicted the Congress will go past BJP to wrest power in the state in the upcoming assembly election.
