Jammu/UNI: A three storied building collapsed while two persons suffered injuries in a major fire that broke out here on Wednesday.

"A fire broke out early this morning at around 0515 hours in a wooden stall at Gole Puli in Talab Tillo area," an official of Fire and Emergency Services here told UNI.

He said that the fire spread wildly due to wood logs at the stall and a three-storied building also collapsed in the fire.

"Two of our fire fighters suffered serious injuries and some of them were trapped in the collapsed building during fire control operation," he further said.

So far 10 fire tenders have been pressed into service to douse the flames.

More details were awaited, he added.
