Jammu and Kashmir: Youth killed in Srinagar

Srinagar, Apr 15 (IBNS): A teenager was shot dead in a mysterious firing incident in Srinagar's Batamaloo area on Saturday evening.

Gulmarg of North Kashmir, presently living on rent in S.D. Colony, was fired at by unknown gunmen.

"The youth was shot dead near Batamaloo Chowk where there is no deployment of security forces," said a police official.

Soon after the incident shopkeepers downing their shutters and went to safest place.

Since Apr 9, Kashmir Valley is on edge when eight civilians were killed in clashes during polling.
