Srinagar: In the series of commemorative events being organised by the Army pan India to celebrate 50 years of the historic Indo Pak war of 1971, Kundian Post of Pharkian Infantry Brigade organised a “Vijay Mashaal Rally” on Dec 16.

According to Col Emron Musavi, PRO(Defence ) Srinagar, the company is deployed in the foothill of Shamshabari Ridge and followed the Grand Celebration held on December 13 at Pahrkian on Shamshabari with this rally.

“The rally was carried out to celebrate the Indian Army Victory of 1971 war between India and Pak and also to make inhabitants of the local village aware about the historic victory.

Approximately 23 locals, including children participated in the rally.

Locals carried the Vijay Mashaal throughout the rally from Kundian post to the Kundian village and back to the company location inspite of the snowy conditions,” PRO said in a statement.
