Jammu and Kashmir: Soldier martyred during training, two others injured in Mendhar

Jammu, May 22 (UNI) An Army jawan got martyred and two others suffered injuries during a training activity along the Line of Control in Mendhar sector of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir.

"This morning, at around 0915 hours, during a training activity on a military post in Mendhar Sector, one soldier was critically injured who later succumbed to his injuries," defence spokesman here said.

He added that two more soldiers who suffered non-grevious injuries have been evacuated to the nearest Military Hospital and are stable.

Army however, said that it was not an IED explosion.
