Jammu and Kashmir: Jan Aushadhi Diwas celebrated in Budgam
Srinagar: Jan Aushadhi Diwas was celebrated today at District Hospital Budgam along with other parts of country and UT of J&K.
The Diwas was attended by CMO Budgam Tajamul Hussain Khan, Nishat Shaheen A.D Health Kashmir Division representing Directorate Health service Kashmir, RMO District Hospital Budgam and other concerned officers and officials.
The program based on theme of cost effective and efficient medicines also witnessed huge public participation of senior citizens and patients as well.
Dr. Tajamul Hussain Khan enlightened the gathering regarding the aim and objective of Jan Aushadhi Diwas which was launched in country in year 2008, at J&K in year 2010 and now currently at Budgam in January 2020. The CMO informed the public that there are 3 Jan Aushadhi outlets primarily functioning in District at District Hospital Budgam, SDH Magam and SDH Chadoora.
Two new Jan Aushadhi outlets will be launched within short span of time at SDH Charsharief and Beerwah, the CMO added.
CMO further said that during current year, Jan Aushadhi outlets will be set up mostly at all remaining SDHs. CMO appealed to the public to come forward and avail benefits of Jan Aushadhi outlets which run 24×7 .
The medicines are Generic which are highly cost effective, 50% to 90% less costly than branded medicine with same and above mark efficiency.
