Jammu and Kashmir: Indian security forces foil infiltration bid, neutralise terrorist in Akhnoor belt
Indian security forces have foiled a major infiltration bid and neutralised one terrorist along the International Border in Akhnoor belt here.
Official sources said own troops, on seeing a group of heavily armed terrorists trying to cross over on this side from across the border, fired at them in the Khour sector of Akhnoor.
One of the terrorists was hit by a gunshot, and he fell down, they said.
"The body of the neutralised terrorist has been dragged back by others," said an official.
He said troops are on high alert and maintaining close vigil along the International Border.
