Jammu and Kashmir: Encounter underway between terrorists in Ganderbal

Ganderbal/IBNS: An encounter is currently underway between security officials and suspected terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Ganderbal district, officials said.

"Encounter has started at #Gund, #Ganderbal. Further details shall follow.@JmuKmrPolice," Kashmir Police Zone tweeted.

More details are awaited.

On Monday, security forces neutralised two terrorists during an encounter in Bandipora area.

"Two terrorists killed. Arms and ammunition recovered. Identity and affiliation being ascertained," Kashmir Police Zone tweeted about the encounter on Monday.

Police later said one of the slain terrorists was identified as Pakistani national named Talha.

He belonged to terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba.
