Jammu and Kashmir: Drones spotted thrice in Samba

Jammu/UNI: Drones were spotted thrice at three different locations in bordering Samba district of UT Jammu and Kashmir, officials said on Friday.

Samba Senior Superintendent of Police Rajesh Sharma said that a suspicious flying object, possibly a drone with a blinking white light, was spotted at three locations of the district on Thursday evening.

The drone was spotted near Army Camp, Bari Brahmana, Sandi village near ITBP Camp, Ghagwal and forwarded Chalarian village.

"At one place in Chalarian BSF troops fired a couple of rounds but could not hit the object," he added.

Drone activity has increased manifold from the past one month, especially after an attack on Air Force Station, Jammu on June 27.
