Jallikattu Bill passed by Tamil Nadu Assembly
The Bill was unianimously passed by the Assembly.

After six days of peaceful protest, Chennai and other parts of Tamil Nadu witnessed violent protests on Monday.
The police and pro-Jallikattu protesters clashed in Chennai and other places in Tamil Nadu when the police went to evict the protesters on Monday, according to media reports.
Early morning, the police gave the protesters at the Marina Beach in Chennai a copy of the ordinance in favour of Jallikattu and asked them to vacate the beach, media reported.
But soon after violence spread in parts of Chennai, Madurai and other places of Tamil Nadu.
The protesters turned rowdy after the district police began to evict the protesters who were refusing to leave, media reported.
In Madurai, the protesters pelted the police with stones while vehicles were set on fire near Ice House Police Station in Chennai.
According to police sources, anti-socials have infiltrated the ranks of protesters, the media quoted.
Union Information and Broadcasting Minister M VenkaiahNaidu has appealed to protesters in Tamil Nadu to call of agitation over issue of Jallikattu, media reported.
Jallikattu, Tamil Nadu's version of a bull-taming sport, which was banned by the Supreme Court, was held in the state over the weekend after an ordinance was issued following protesters and intervention of the state's chief minister earlier in the week.
