Following the complaint by Gau Raksha Dal leader Kamal Didi, the police arrested the owner of hotel Naeem Rabbani and one of its staff members under the section 295 A of the Indian Penal Code for outraging religious feelings.

The hotel was shut down by the Municipal Corporation after the public outrage.

Jaipur deputy mayor Manoj Bhardwaj said: "We have sealed the hotel as they could not produce a licence to operate their restuarant. Moreover they were disposing their waste opened and flouting rules."

Speaking about the rumours, Jaipur (West) Deputy Commissioner of police, Ashok Kumar Gupta while interacting with the media that the rumours were not true as the local people were dissatisfied over the disposal of non-vegetarian remains in the open area.
