Isreaeli tourist allegedly gang-raped in moving car in Manali

Shimla, July 25 (IBNS) : A 25-year-old Israeli woman has been allegedly gang raped in a moving car in the popular hill station Manali, media reports said.

Police said the woman, who boarded a car by mistaking it for a taxi and was on her way to Keylong on Sunday morning. 


In her complaint, the woman said two of the six men who were already in the vehicle, sexually assaulted her.

A medical examination has been conducted and the report has been sent to Mandi for expert opinion.

A case under section 376 (rape) of IPC has been registered and investigations are underway.

According to reports, the police are trying to nab the culprits with the help of the CCTV installed in the area.

An American woman was raped in Manali in 2013 by three men when she boarded a truck.
