Israel: 1 injured in stabbing attack in Tel Aviv ahead of Gaza ceasefire deal
Tel Aviv: An assailant stabbed and seriously injured a man in central Tel Aviv on Saturday afternoon, news agency AFP reported citing Israeli police.
The incident occurred in the city's commercial hub, hours before a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip was set to commence.
Initial reports suggested multiple injuries from a shooting; however, police later confirmed that the attacker was armed only with a knife.
According to their statement, the "terrorist" approached a restaurant on Levontin Street and stabbed a civilian before being shot and "neutralised" by an armed bystander.

And the Pro-Palestinian lot wonder why there are walls, barriers and check points.
This is why. They want to murder Jews.pic.twitter.com/5tCEB3rNsa
The term "terrorist" is commonly used by Israeli police to describe Palestinians who carry out politically motivated attacks.
Emergency service provider Magen David Adom treated a 30-year-old male at the scene for severe stab wounds before transporting him to the hospital.
The attack occurred around 4:30 pm local time (1430 GMT).
This incident adds to ongoing tensions, with the Gaza ceasefire aimed at pausing hostilities between Israel and Hamas, following over 15 months of conflict.
