Kolkata/Siliguri, Dec 6 (IBNS): Acting on a tip off, a joint force of police and Anti-Corruption Branch on Monday late evening arrested a suspected agent of Pakistan's Inter-Service Intelligence (ISI) from Siliguri city in West Bengal's Darjeeling district, officials said.

According to reports, a raid was conducted at Panitanki area under Pradhannagar Police Station limits in Siliguri, very close to Bengal-Nepal border, and the ISI suspect was booked.

Police officials said that as many as 155 Nepalese sim cards, 35 Indian sim cards, 4 laptops, few ATM cards and 3 fake voter ID cards were recovered from the arrested's possession.

"Arrested Ranabijay Singh, who hails from Sion in Bihar, had been to Qatar and Oman in 2009 and 2010 respectively and was staying in Siliguri's Pradhannagar area since last six months," a senior police official told IBNS.

"We are looking into his call details as he used to make several international calls from his mobile," the official added.

However, as the probe is at a very early stage, investigators refused to speak further on this matter.
