Indore building collapse leaves 10 people dead

Indore, Apr 1 (IBNS): The death toll in the hotel collapse in Indore rose to 10 on Sunday while another six injured are being treated.

The rescue operation in the hotel collapse which happened on Saturday is still continuing.

On Saturday, a car crashed into the façade of the three-storied hotel around 9.17pm resulting in the collapse of the entire building in seconds.

Expressing his grief over the accident, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan Tweeted: “We are monitoring the rescue effort. I pray that everyone survives and those wounded recover soon.”

He also announced a compensation of Rs 2,00,000 for the kin of the deceased and Rs 50,000 for those injured in the incident.

Meanwhile Indore collector Nishant Warwade also ordered a magisterial probe into the incident.
