Indian students studying medicine in China fear losing degree cancellation

New Delhi/IBNS: Several Indian students studying medicine in various educational institutions in China are fearing cancellation of their degrees if they don't return to the South Asian country before Jun 2022, media reports said.

The students had returned to India following COVID-19 outbreak.

The students, who fear cancellation of their degrees, have completed their course but they need to do an internship, which is mandatory.

Several students have urged the Indian government to step up and take necessary steps besides urging the resumption of visa process.

Alternatively, the students want the Chinese institutions to extend the deadline to complete the internship programme.

This comes at a time when several Ukrainian students, who have returned to India following the war on the country declared by Russia, fear they would not be able to complete their medical courses.
