Indian sailors abducted in Nigeria are safe: Sushma Swaraj

New Delhi, Dec 18 (IBNS): External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Friday said five Indian sailor, who have been abducted by pirates in Nigeria, are safe.

"I have the report on abduction of 5 Indian sailors in Nigeria.The contact with pirates is established. Indian sailors are safe," Swaraj tweeted.

She said India is making all efforts to secure their release.

"Our High Commissioner in Nigeria AR Ghanshyam met President of Nigeria on 12 Dec. He is making all efforts to secure their release," she said.
