Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi meets Bangladesh President Abdul Hamid

New Delhi, Mar 11 (IBNS): Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday met Bangladesh President Abdul Hamid here.

President Hamid is currently visiting India to attend the International Solar Association Founding Conference in New Delhi.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the conference.

PMO India said both the leaders had a 'productive discussion'.

"Bangladesh President Mr. Abdul Hamid and PM @narendramodi had productive discussions on the sidelines of the #ISA meeting in Delhi," PMO India tweeted.

Speaking on the meeting, MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar tweeted: " Cementing our bonds with a close friend and a neighbour! PM @narendramodi met President of Bangladesh, Md. Abdul Hamid on the sidelines of the #ISA. Leaders discussed connectivity, developmental cooperation, among other issues."

Modi met several world leaders on the sidelines of the International Solar Association Founding Conference.
