Indian-origin actress hid in cafe freezer during Spain attack

Barcelona, Aug 18 (IBNS): Indian origin actress in the UK Laila Rouass had a narrow escape during Thursday's terror attack in Spain as she hid in a restaurant freezer at the time when the incident occurred.

She also used her Twitter handle to keep updating her fans on the situation in which she was caught up in the city where a van ploughed through pedestrians, killing 14 people and injuring around 100.

"In the middle of the attack. Hiding in a restaurant freezer. Happened so fast. Praying for the safety of everyone here," the actress tweeted.

Her another tweet read: "Gunshots just heard. Armed police running down thw street looking for someone."

The actress is best known for her portrayals of Amber Gates in Footballers' Wives (2004–2006) and Sahira Shah in Holby City (2011–12).

She has also starred in Primeval and Spooks and been a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing, in which she finished fourth.
