Indian Minister S Jaishankar signs Condolence Book to mourn demise of Sultan Qaboos
New Delhi/UNI: External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar on Tuesday signed the Condolence Book at the Oman Embassy here expressing India's "profound sorrow" at the sad demise of Sultan Qaboos bin Said al Said.
".....India has suffered an irreparable loss of a true friend and well-wisher," Dr Jaishankar tweeted.
Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi is leading Indian delegation to Muscat to pay homage to Sultan of the Sultanate of Oman, who breathed his last on January 10.
The Minister is also carrying a message from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to His Majesty Sultan Sayyed Haitham bin Tariq bin Taimur Al-Said, Sultan of Sultanate of Oman, the MEA has said.
