India to boycott CPA meet in Pakistan: Mahajan

New Delhi, Aug 7 (IBNS): Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan on Friday said India will boycott the meeting of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association in Pakistan if Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Speaker is not invited to it.

The decision was taken during a meeting of Speakers of all states here.

"If one region within India is not sent an invitation then we decided to discuss the issue...We have decided that if Jammu and Kashmir is not invited then India region will boycott the event." Mahajan told reporters.

"Either you change the venue or India region will not attend the meeting," Mahajan said.

The CPA will be held in Pakistani city of Islamabad next month.

Pakistan has not invited Jammu and Kashmir for the meeting.

The move was also made by India at a time when terror attacks hit Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab recently.

Indian security forces arrested a Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorist Mohd Naved alias Usman Khan this week.

Pakistan on Thursday claimed Usman Khan was not a citizen of the country.

Pakistani news website Dunya News reported's National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) officials as saying that UsmanKhan is not a Pakistani citizen according to their records. The officials also claimed that images of the man arrested by India do not match any Pakistani citizen.
