India strongly condemns bomb attack in Kabul

New Delhi, July 28 (IBNS): India has strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Kabul today in which a number of innocent Afghans were killed.

"India expresses its deepest condolences with the families of the deceased," a foreign ministry statement said.

This dastardly attack was also aimed at undermining the constitutional and democratic processes and institutions in Afghanistan, the statement said.

"India stands in solidarity with the Government and the people of Afghanistan in their efforts to achieve enduring peace, security and stability in Afghanistan," it added.

At least 25 people were wounded and two were killed as a result of a bombing that occurred near the electoral office of Afghan President Ashraf Ghani's deputy Amrullah Saleh on an airport road in the country's capital of Kabul on Sunday, the Afghan Health Ministry said.

Militants detonated an explosive laden vehicle at about 05:00 p.m. local time.
