India is our friend: Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina

New Delhi: PM Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday described India as a 'dear friend' of Bangladesh.

She was given a ceremonial welcome at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Tuesday.

She said Bangladesh always recalls the contribution India made in the Liberation War.

Speaking at the event, Hasina said: "India is our friend. Whenever I come to India, it's pleasure for me, especially because we always recall the contribution India has made during our liberation war. We have friendly relationship, we are cooperating with each other."

Hasina is currently on a four-day visit to India.
She arrived in India on Monday.
