IIT-Guwahati student commits suicide due to depression

Guwahati, Sep 15 (IBNS): A student of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)-Guwahati was found dead near his hostel building on Sunday. Police said the boy, identified as Tushar Yadav, 19, had committed suicide.

A suicide note was also found with the body where Yahad reportedly sought apology from his parents who live in Gurgaon near Delhi, reports said.

A student of electronics and communication engineering, the boy reportedly jumped from the fourth floor of his hostel building late on Saturday night due to acute stress and subsequent depression. His body was found lying in the pool of blood.

Police are now investigating the matter. Tushar's father Narender Singh also arrived in Guwahati.
