I-T dept raids Hero MotoCorp MD

New Delhi/UNI: The Income Tax (I-T) department has carried out searches on multiple premises associated with Hero MotoCorp MD Pawan Munjal, official sources said on Wednesday.

"The search operation is still on and hence details can't be shared as yet," an I-T official said.

An official response from Hero MotoCorp is awaited.

Hero MotoCorp is the leading two-wheeler maker in India, the world's largest two-wheeler market, with over 50 per cent share in the domestic motorcycle market.

The company is headquartered in New Delhi.

Hero MotoCorp shares were down by 1.27% on the BSE at around 11:30 am on Wednesday and traded at Rs 2390.45 a piece.
