She had recently completed her MBBS and was preparing for her postgraduate studies.

According to reports, she had frequent arguments with her mother over minor issues, which reportedly intensified after she brought home a pet cat.

Upset over the ongoing conflicts, Shreshta is believed to have taken the extreme step on Friday evening while she was alone at home, as reported by Telangana Today.

Family members later discovered her and alerted the police.

On receiving the information, Alwal police reached the spot and, based on a complaint filed by her mother, have initiated an investigation into the incident.
