Mumbai/IBNS: The Narcotics Control Bureau has recovered a huge quantity of banned drugs from actor Gaurav Dixit's house after his name surfaced during former Bigg Boss contestant Ajaz Khan's interrogation in a drug case investigation, said media reports.

Gaurav Dixit, who has worked in a couple of movies and a few roles in television, fled on seeing the NCB team when he returned home in Mumbai's Lokhandwala on Friday evening, said an NDTV report.

Drugs like MD, MDMA (commonly known as ecstasy) and hashish were recovered from the flat, said the report.

Dixit returned home with his flat mate, a foreign national woman, and fled as soon as they realised the NCB sleuths had arrived.

Packaging accessories for the drugs were also recovered from the actor's house.

Actor Ajaz Khan was arrested last Wednesday after he was detained a day before for questioning following recovery of restricted drugs like alprazolam tablets from his house in Lokhandwala and Andheri.

Khan, however, told the media that he was innocent and only four sleeping pills, which had been prescribed to his wife for depression, were recovered from his house.

In the course of subsequent interrogations he mentioned Guarav Dixit's name after which NCB raided his apartment.
