Huge cache of cannabis recovered from Tripura forest

Agartala, Feb 23 (UNI) The BSF and Tripura police seized a huge quantity of dry cannabis last evening from forest areas of Rampadpara village of Matinagar under Sonamura in Sepahijala district.

According to report, the troops conducted the raids based on a tip off and recovered 45 drums of dry cannabis weighing 1894 kgs.

The joint operation party also included BSF Dog squad, which could successfully unearth the concealed consignment hidden underground.

The recovery of huge quantity of narcotics from forest area is the fourth largest seizure of cannabis during past one and half months.
