Hospital gangrape case: Staff nurse, 3 wardboys held in Meerut

Meerut, Mar 24 (UNI) A staff nurse and three ward boys were arrested in connection with the gangrape of a woman patient, who was admitted in the intensive care unit (ICU) of a private hospital here, police said on Sunday.

According to Superintendent of Police (City) Akhilesh Narayan Singh, staff nurse Lakshmi and three ward boys, identified as Shadab, Vinod and Niyaju, were arrested in connection with the case.

It was reported in complaint that the staff nurse helped the prime accused of the crime. The woman informed the family members about the crime when she gained consciousness, following which they informed police.

Case was registered against the accused on the testimony of the victim, after her medical examination.
