Akhnoor, Jammu and Kashmir, Aug 4 (IBNS) in the second ceasefire violation in less than 48 hours, Pakistani troops fired at a dozen Indian posts on Tuesday morning engaging Indian forces in heavy exchange of firing across the LoC.

The Border Security Force (BSF) claims that the Pak attack came after they repulsed the attempt of two terrorists on Monday night to sneak into India from across the border.

Pakistani rangers started firing from small arms and mortars  at posts in the Pargwal and Kanachak sectors at around 5 am.

Later at around 5 am, Pakistan Rangers started shelling and firing at posts in the Pargwal and Kanachak sectors.

BSF men also retaliated the attack immediately. The firing is still on.

On Sunday night, Pakistani troops fired at posts in four different sectors along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir.

There have been 19 ceasefire violations along the India-Pakistan border in July in which four persons, including three jawans, were killed and 14 others were injured.
