Haryana Govt formation: JJP chief Dushyant Chautala keeps both BJP and Congress guessing

New Delhi/UNI/IBNS: Amid intense efforts being made by both the Congress and the BJP, the ten-member strong Jannayak Janata Party in Haryana on Friday decided to keep both the national parties guessing and said no one is untouchable to it.

"Hamare liye dono hi acchoot nahi hain (Neither BJP nor nor Congress is untouchable to us)," JJP chief and newly elected legislature party leader Dushyant Chautala told reporters here.

"So far we have not spoken to anybody," he said.

He said party's National Executive and the ten newly elected MLAs met here in the capital authorised him to talk to the BJP and the Congress.
"The key to formation of a stable government in Haryana is still with JJP. We will take a final decision after discussing with Congress and BJP on a Common Minimum Programme," he said, adding that the decision will be to ensure and serve the 'larger interest' of the people of Haryana.
"We are grateful to the voters who gave us the mandate and our party has made an impact within 11 months of struggle," he said.

The BJP is six short of the simple majority mark needed to form the next government in the state.

The Congress won 31 seats, Dushyant Chuatala-led Jannayak Janta Party has ten MLAs, Indian National Lok Dal and Haryana Lokhit Party one each and seven are Independents.

Asked to comment on Independent MLAs extending support to the BJP, he said: ".....I cannot answer on behalf of BJP, but for a stable government the key is still with us".
