Haryana girls fight back molesters in bus, video goes viral

| | Dec 01, 2014, at 07:23 pm
Rohtak, Dec 1 (IBNS) Two sisters from Rohtak in Haryana put up a brave fight with their molesters inside a crowded bus recently as the video of the action caught on a mobile camera went viral.

Interestingly the men were those waiting to join Indian Army but now reports said that might not happen after the incident came to the fore.

According to the mobile video of the incident, the girls- 22-year-old Arati and 19-year-old Pooja- were in a bus going to college when the men started misbehaving with them. At one point the girls fought back even as other passengers watched.

The bravery of the "Rohtak sisters" also was brought the note of the state government and reports said they would be felicitated by Chief Minister ML Khattar on Republic Day.

The girls said the men threw chits with their mobile numbers and then when confronted abused them and touched them.

The sisters decided to then fight back as they were seen thrashing the men.

Arati said the other commuters in the bus advised them to let them go since they can even throw acid on the girls or rape and kill them. But the sisters decided to take on the men.

Reports said the Haryana government has announced to reward them.

Meanwhile, the girls alleged that the family of the boys approached the girls' families to withdraw the cases or change the statements since cases against them would jeopardize their career.
