Harsh Vardhan Shringla appointed as Indian ambassador to USA
New Delhi, Dec 21 (IBNS): Harsh Vardhan Shringla as been appointed as the new Indian Ambassador to the US, the Ministry of External Affairs said on Friday.
He is currently serving as the High Commissioner to the People's Republic of Bangladesh.
The Indian diplomat is an Indian Foreign Service officer of 1984 batch.
"He is expected to take up the assignment shortly," read a statement issued by the MEA.
