Hansraj Gangaram Ahir assumes charge as MoS for Home Affairs

New Delhi, Jul 11 (IBNS): Hansraj Gangaram Ahir assumed charge as Union Minister of State for Home Affairs in New Delhi on Monday.

He was elected to the 16th Lok Sabha from Chandrapur constituency in Maharashtra. He is an agriculturist by profession.

Hansraj Gangaram Ahir had been earlier elected to the Parliament for three times. He has been a Member of various Standing Committees and also served as the Chairperson of Standing Committee on Coal and Steel.

Prior to taking over as MoS (Home), Hansraj Gangaram Ahir served as MoS (Chemicals & Fertilizers) in the current government.
