Guwahati unveils ambitious women empowerment project on 77th Independence Day

Guwahati/IBNS: Guwahati's Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma introduced a pioneering initiative during the 77th Independence Day celebrations to empower women.

The project aims to uplift 39,56,000 women by forming self-help groups and promoting entrepreneurship, reports Guwahati Plus.

Each woman involved will receive an initial grant of ₹10,000 directly deposited into their bank accounts, a stepping stone for establishing businesses., announced CM Biswa.

This initiative marks a significant stride towards gender equality and economic self-reliance.
