Great News: Amarinder Singh welcomes Modi govt's decision to repeal three farm laws

New Delhi: Ex-Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh on Friday welcomed PM Narendra Modi and his government's decision to repeal the three farm laws that had triggered protests by farmers for the past several months.

Modi described the Centre's announcement as 'great news'.

"Great news! Thankful to PM @narendramodi ji for acceding to the demands of every punjabi & repealing the 3 black laws on the pious occasion of #GuruNanakJayanti. I am sure the central govt will continue to work in tandem for the development of Kisani! #NoFarmers_NoFood @AmitShah," Singh tweeted.

Modi made the announcement while addressing the nation at 9 am on Friday.
