Grand Alliance's win in Bihar polls is 'victory of democracy': Shatrughan Sinha

Patna, Nov 8 (IBNS): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Shatrughan Sinha on Sunday said the win of Grand Alliance in the Bihar Assembly Election is the 'victory of democracy.'
"It is the victory of democracy and the people of Bihar. I salute them," Sinha tweeted after the the Nitish Kumar-Lalu Yadav-Congress alliance emerged as winner leaving PM Narendra Modi's BJP trailing far behind.
 
Taking a dig at his party's top brass, Sinha posted: "It appears that the issue of Bihari vs Bahari (and Bihari Babu's absence) has been settled once and for all."
 
He also appealed to his party leaders to do a thorough introspection.
 
"Wishing great luck to our victorious friends and appealing for introspection to our people. The writing was always on the wall," he wrote.
 
"The call of the day is introspection, modified and better strategy, teamwork and coordination in the future. Salute once again to Biharis," he added.
 
After a nail-biting fight to grab majority in the 243-member Bihar Assembly, the Grand Alliance, comprising Bihar Chief Minister Nitsh Kumar's JD(U), Lalu Prasad Yadav's RJD and Congress, emerged a winner as is all set to form the government in Bihar  as the counting for the assembly election proceeded on Sunday.
 
During the early morning trends, the NDA, led by BJP, was leading. However, in a dramatic change, the Nitish Kumar-Lalu Yadav-Congress alliance came ahead leaving PM Narendra Modi's BJP trailing far behind.
 
According to latest trends, the Grand Alliance is leading in 165 seats while the BJP and its three allies are trailing behind in 70 seats. Others are leading in eight seats.
