Governor of Meghalaya gets additional charge of Governor of Manipur
New Delhi, Sept 28 (IBNS) V. Shanmuganathan, Governor of Meghalaya will perform the functions of the Governor of Manipur, in addition to his own duties, officials said.
"Consequent upon the demise of Dr. Syed Ahmed, Governor of Manipur, the President of India has appointed Shri V. Shanmuganathan, Governor of Meghalaya, to discharge the functions of the Governor of Manipur, in addition to his own duties, until regular arrangements are made," the President's Secretariat said in a statement.
Manipur Governor Syed Ahmed died in Mumbai on Sunday.
