G20 Summit: Singapore High Commissioner to India Simon Wong describes Kashmir as 'pure beauty'

Srinagar: Singapore High Commissioner to India  Simon Wong, who recently attended the G20 Summit in Srinagar, praised the beauty of Kashmir and described the region as a 'pure beauty'.

"Just landed in beautiful Srinagar for the #G20Kashmir 3rd Working Group Meeting on Tourism. Looking forward to discovering the wonderful sustainable tourism destinations and experiences in J&K! HC Wong," he tweeted.

" Very happy to be in Srinagar. Pure beauty. Thank u so much for your warm welcome," he said.

The Summit commenced on Monday.

This is the first major event taking place in the valley ever since the special status of Kashmir was scrapped in 2019.
