G20 Culture Working Group meeting: Argentina's envoy to India Hugo Javier Gobbi says India is an incredible host

Varanasi:  Ambassador of Argentina to India, Dr. Hugo Javier Gobbi, who visited the G20 Culture Working Group meeting in Varanasi, has said the country makes him feel at home.

He told ANI, “India is an incredible host. And when we come to India we not only feel welcome, we feel at home. You make us feel like it’s one family.”

He said: "The culture meeting was a big success in all senses. We managed to have a very ambitious outcome document.”

Director of Arts, India British Council, Jonathan Kennedy also appreciated India’s G20 hospitality and said the delegation enjoyed its visit to Varanasi.

Kennedy told ANI, “The hospitality of India has been fantastic. We have all been enjoying the entertainment, performances and cuisine in Varanasi over the past few days.”

The G20 Culture Ministers’ Meeting, under India’s Presidency, convened in Varanasi on Saturday.

Ministers of Culture and dignitaries from G20 members and invitee countries attended the meeting along with representatives from international organizations.

The important outcomes of the Culture Ministers’ Meeting will feed into actions that G20 Leaders will discuss during the G20 New Delhi Summit in September 2023.

With the conclusion of the Culture Working Group under India’s G20 Presidency, now we look forward to the G20 Leaders Summit on September 9-10 in New Delhi.
