Francois Hollande to be chief guest in Republic Day parade
New Delhi, Nov 21 (IBNS) France has accepted India's invitation to President Francois Hollande to be chief guest at the 2016 Republic Day parade, reports said.
The decision comes in the wake of the deadly terror attacks in Paris that prompted world nations, including India, to rally behind France.
Reports said the visit may also see breakthrough in key arms deals like the purchase of Rafale jets.
Hollande's predecessor Nicolas Sarkozy was Chief Guest at the Republic Day parade in 2008.
