Four killed, one injured as two trucks collide in Assam’s Mirza

Guwahati/IBNS: At least four people were killed and one was injured in a road accident in Assam’s Kamrup district on Friday night.

The incident took place at Mirza area under Palasbari police station, about 32 km from Guwahati, where two trucks coming from opposite directions collided with each other.

According to the reports, a sand laden truck collided with another truck coming from opposite side.

Three labourers of the sand laden truck and the driver of the another truck died on spot and one sustained severe injuries in the accident.

The injured person was rushed to Guwahati Medical College hospital.

Among four deceased persons, three have been identified as 21-year-old Jahangir Alam, 22-year-old Rafikul Islam and 25-year-old Hanif Ali.
