Former UP CM Mayawati demand free Covid vaccine, treatment

| @indiablooms | May 03, 2021, at 06:14 pm

Lucknow/UNI: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati on Monday has demanded free Covid vaccine for all and free treatment for the poor.

"Rising above party politics, all parties should demand that the central government bear all expenses for the treatment of COVID-19-affected poor and weaker section people and administer the vaccine free of cost," Mayawati said in a series of tweets in Hindi.

She said if the Centre refuses to accept this, state governments must take up the responsibility themselves by cutting down on non-essential expenditure. She also appealed to all the political parties to rise above political lines to fight with Covid.

BSP is ready to support the political parties in their fight against Covid, Mayawati said.
