Foreigner terrorist injured in northern Kashmir dies

Srinagar, Feb 27 (IBNS): A foreigner terrorist, who was injured a day ago in northern Kashmir Hajin village of Bandipora Town, has succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday, police said.

According to reports, security forces cordoned off Bun Mollah Hajan village after having specific inputs about some terrorists are hiding in the area yesterday at 5:15 a.m..

While the cordon was being laid there was an exchange of fire.

Though in the search operation no dead body was recovered consequently it was learnt that one terrorist of Pakistan based out Lashker i Toiba (LeT) was injured in the encounter.

Identified as Abu Haris, the terrorist was buried in the Hajin and a large number of people attended his funeral.

Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir in a statement said: “Today Police came to know about the death of the terrorist. Since the body of terrorist was already in the village, despite several requests from police to handover the body but large number of people gathered around the body did not handover the terrorist.”

"We are ascertaining the identity of the terrorist who is believed to be a foreigner, also necessary legal action has been initiated against the people who led the protest and instigated public,” the statement added.
