Five killed in road accident in Himachal's Kullu district

Shimla/UNI: Five died on the spot when a Scorpio SUV carrying them fell down 500 meter down at Sheel-Jawagi road in Ani division of Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh this afternoon, a Senior Officer said.

Superintendent of police Garav Singh said that the victims were identified as Rakesh Chauhan, Balwant singh of Deem village, Gain Singh of Negarh village, Pawan and Vikrant Kaith Oadh village of Ani subdivision of Kullu district.

The vehicle was on way to Sheel from Deem.

All the victims died on the spot.

Bodies were evacuated by the local people with help of police in presence of Gram Panchayat Pradhan Bagh Chand.

Bodies were taken to a nearby hospital for the autopsy and will hand over to the family members on Wednesday, he added.
