Five civilians killed in Pakistan shelling near LoC in J&K

Srinagar, Mar 18 (IBNS): Five members of a family were killed in heavy shelling by Pakistani forces in Balakote sector in Mendhar area near the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district on Sunday morning.

Three children among five members of a  family were killed in the firing.

According to reports, Pakistan started shelling the civilian areas in Balkote sector  in Mendhar and the shells pounded several homes.

One family of Mohammad Ramzan lost its five members.

Choudhary Mohammad Ramzan, his wife and three minor sons were killed as shells hit their house in Devta Dhar village in Balakote sector.

His two daughters are injured in the attack.
