Five blasts rock Assam on Republic Day

Guwahati/IBNS: Five blasts-three in Dibrugarh district and one each in Charaideo and Tinsukia district-rocked Assam on Sunday morning as the nation is celebrating Republic Day.

There is no report of any casualty in the explosions.

According to the reports, one blast took place at Tiyakghat Tiniali area near Sonari in Assam’s Charaideo district.

Following the explosion, top police officials rushed to the area and collected splinter and other items from the area.

On the other hand, second explosion took place at Dibrugarh Graham Bazar area in Dibrugarh district.

The third blast took place at Marwaripatty Gurudwara area in Dibrugarh town and fourth in oil town Duliajan district on Sunday morning.
