Fire breaks out in Kolkata market, firefighting ops underway
Kolkata/IBNS: A fire broke out in a market in north Kolkata's Rajabazar Chaulpatty area on Sunday afternoon, reports said.
According to reports, the fire was first noticed at around 2:15 pm. in the marketplace.
As many as 11 fire tenders, local police and Disaster Management Group (DMG) personnel rushed to the scene and firemen are currently continuing firefighting operations at the scene.
An official of state fire and emergency services said that the blaze was slowly coming under control.
However, no casualty has been reported so far while several shops have been gutted completely due to the fire.
