Dehradun/IBNS: A fire broke out in a compartment of Delhi-Dehradun Shatabdi Express near Kansrao, barely 30 km away from Dehradun, in Uttrakhannd on Saturday, reports said.

According to reports, the fire broke out in the C4 compartment of the premium train possibly due to a short circuit.

Local authorities said that the fire had been doused and all the passengers of the coach as well as the entire train were safe, though the C4 compartment had been gutted completely.

Railway has initiated a probe into the fire incident, officials said.
